Join Dr. Amanda Montoya, Pediatric Physical Therapist, in this interactive and supportive workshop exploring tummy time and your baby’s introduction to movement. Movement is one of the first ways babies begin to understand themselves and the world around them. This workshop will give you the tools for shaping the foundation of your baby’s body and brain and help you and baby love tummy time.
Workshop will include: what is tummy time and why is it important, why is tummy time so hard, when and how to start tummy time, intro to newborn milestones, and prevention of flat head and helmets.
About the instructor:
Dr. Amanda Montoya, PT, DPT, PCS is a pediatric physical therapist specializing in newborns and infants. She has her own practice in Ventura County. She began teaching infant development classes after repetitively seeing patients for limitations that could have potentially been prevented with introduction to early tummy time and movement. She developed these workshops for parents to experience ways to easily integrate tummy time and movement into their daily routine in order to optimize their developmental skills and promote gross motor, fine motor, sensory and visual development. She's seen first hand with her own two babies and in her practice, that when a baby loves moving, playing and learning on the floor, the experience and connection during the first years will completely change for the better!
Cost: $35 per family
