Evidence Based Birth® Childbirth Class FIRST SESSION

Come join the Evidence Based Birth® Childbirth Class facilitated by Amy Blain, RN.

This preparation for birth and new parenthood course is a hybrid model providing convenience for complicated schedules as well as an opportunity for building community with other expectant parents.

  • 2 in-person sessions held at New Family Collective (first and last classes of the series)

  • 4 live virtual meetings

  • Independent online learning throughout

The Evidence Based Birth® Childbirth Class provides:

  • Engaging activities to help couples explore and clarify values about birth and parenting

  • Opportunities to practice working as a team

  • Discussion of what evidence based care can look like during labor & birth

  • Concrete strategies for navigating pain and intensity

  • Advocacy & communication skills

Amy Blain is an RN and an ICEA certified childbirth educator and Evidence Based Birth® Instructor with over 20 years of childbirth education experience. She is also an apprentice of Britta Bushnell, PhD, author of “Transformed By Birth”.   Amy loves to engage the deep life changes happening as people become parents while discussing the nitty gritty details of birth. There is not much she hates more than sitting in a workshop or class that feels boring or condescending. Come join an engaging, thought provoking preparation for your upcoming birth.

Conejo Valley Birthworker Holiday Party

Come celebrate the holiday season! Our next meet up will be at the New Family Collective located in Thousand Oaks! This is a lovely new center created by two local IBCLC's, Janice and Bethany to support our local families. This event will be catered and we will be having a white elephant gift exchange. We are kindly asking for a $25 donation to cover the cost of food and drink.
